Chief Bridge Engineer

About the role

The Chief Bridge Engineer oversees the design, construction, and maintenance of all bridge projects within the company. This role requires extensive knowledge of bridge engineering principles and the ability to lead interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the entire bridge project lifecycle from conception to completion
• Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations
• Develop and implement innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges
• Lead and mentor a team of bridge engineers and technicians
• Conduct regular inspections and assessments of existing bridges to ensure they meet safety and performance standards

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Minimum of 10 years of professional bridge engineering experience
• Proven leadership skills and ability to manage multidisciplinary teams
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of relevant codes and standards for bridge engineering

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with bridge design software such as Bentley MicroStation or similar
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Pay

Salary range: $80,000 - $120,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
