Chief Bridge Engineer

About the role

The Chief Bridge Engineer oversees the design, construction, and maintenance of all bridge projects within the company. This includes ensuring compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the entire bridge project lifecycle from conceptualization to completion
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure project success
• Ensure adherence to safety and environmental regulations
• Manage budgets and schedules to meet project deadlines
• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance checks on existing bridges

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in bridge engineering
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
• Strong leadership and management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Qualifications

• Experience with bridge design software such as AutoCAD or MicroStation
• Knowledge of bridge construction materials and techniques
• Understanding of structural analysis and design principles
• Experience with project management tools and methodologies

Pay

Salary range: $80,000 - $120,000 annually
