CHI M&A/PE Associate (2nd-6th Year)
About the role
The Chicago Office of Paul Hastings is seeking a 2nd-6th Year Corporate Associate to join their leading Private Equity practice. Candidates should have experience representing private equity sponsors in the acquisition and disposition of portfolio companies. Outstanding academic credentials and big law firm experience are preferred.
Responsibilities
- Represent private equity sponsors in acquisition and disposition of portfolio companies
- Work closely with clients to understand their needs and goals
- Prepare and present legal opinions and documents
- Participate in client meetings and negotiations
- Assist in the development and implementation of transactional strategies
Requirements
- Experience representing private equity sponsors in acquisition and disposition of portfolio companies
- Outstanding academic credentials
- Big law firm experience preferred
Qualifications
- Law degree from an accredited law school
- Admitted to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
- Passionate about private equity and corporate law
Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail
Benefits
The salary wage range for this position is a minimum of $235,000 and a maximum of $390,000 (annually). The actual pay wage may vary based on experience or other relevant factors.
