Chest Radiologist
About the role
Ochsner Health is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Chest Radiologist. Ochsner Health is an integrated healthcare system with over 36,000 employees and more than 4,600 employed and affiliated physicians. It operates 47 hospitals and over 370 health and urgent care centers across Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and the Gulf South. The Chest Radiologist will join the Cardiothoracic Radiology Section, which has strong relationships with Pulmonary Medicine, Thoracic Surgery, the Cancer Service Line, and Cardiology, including multidisciplinary conferences. They will also be part of lung screening programs, congenital heart surgical programs, and interventional cardiology programs for TAVR. Remote reading opportunities and flexible work options are available.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Pulmonary Medicine, Thoracic Surgery, the Cancer Service Line, and Cardiology teams
- Contribute to multidisciplinary conferences
- Participate in lung screening programs
- Support congenital heart surgical programs
- Engage in interventional cardiology programs for TAVR
- Perform remote readings
- Offer flexible work arrangements including no-call days and weekend shifts
- Teach in the Ochsner Medical Center – New Orleans Radiology residency program
Requirements
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Radiology
- Experience in Cardiothoracic Radiology
- Strong interpersonal skills and team player
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree
- Current license to practice medicine in the state(s) where you will be working
- Completion of an accredited ACGME/ACRRM residency program in Diagnostic Radiology
Skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Proficiency in PACS/RIS systems
- Knowledge of AI and Natural Language Processing
