About the role
Adjunct Physical Science faculty are needed to teach day and evening Majors and Non-majors Introductory, General, and Organic Chemistry courses at the Community College of Baltimore County (campus may vary).
Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver instruction
- Timely submission of materials for duplication
- Grades submission
- Coordinate activities with the Department Chairperson or discipline coordinator
- One office hour each week (for each class)
- Participation in some Departmental or College activities
- Encouraged to participate in professional development
Requirements
- A Master of Science in Chemistry or related field with appropriate course work is required for lecture instructors.
- A Bachelor of Science with appropriate education and experience is required for lab instructors.
- Instructional experience is preferred.

Pay
Adjunct Level 1 - $1,085 per credit hour.
Schedule
Adjunct faculty may teach up to 22 credit hours each year and usually teach no more than 11 credits each semester.
