About the role

Adjunct Physical Science faculty are needed to teach day and evening Majors and Non-majors Introductory, General, and Organic Chemistry courses at the Community College of Baltimore County (campus may vary).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver instruction
• Timely submission of materials for duplication
• Grades submission
• Coordinate activities with the Department Chairperson or discipline coordinator
• One office hour each week (for each class)
• Participation in some Departmental or College activities
• Encouraged to participate in professional development

Requirements

• A Master of Science in Chemistry or related field with appropriate course work is required for lecture instructors.
• A Bachelor of Science with appropriate education and experience is required for lab instructors.
• Instructional experience is preferred.

Pay

Adjunct Level 1 - $1,085 per credit hour.

Schedule

Adjunct faculty may teach up to 22 credit hours each year and usually teach no more than 11 credits each semester.
