CHEMIST III - PEARL CITY, OAHU
Duties Summary
The Chemist III position performs a variety of chemical and physical tests to establish the identity, composition, condition and/or quality of substances in a specialized area of assignment and performs other duties as required.
Minimum Qualification Requirements
- Legal Authorization To Work Requirement: Must be a citizen, national, or permanent resident alien of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States.
- Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in chemistry or a closely related science which included at least 30 semester credit hours in chemistry courses including organic, inorganic, analytical and/or physical chemistry.
- Specialized Experience: One year (1) of professional work experience which demonstrated the ability to apply the scientific laws and principles of chemistry to predict results; to interpret and evaluate the results of professional research or analyses by other chemists; or to assess the need for and validity of proposed changes and improvements in laboratory procedures and methods.
- Substitutions Allowed: Relevant substitutions as described in the Minimum Qualification Requirements, will apply.
