About the role

Eurofins Scientific is an international life sciences company dedicated to ensuring the safety, authenticity, and accuracy of products across various industries. This role is part of Eurofins Environment Testing America, which focuses on environmental health and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares and analyzes environmental samples using standard and complex testing methods.
  • Makes reagents for sample analysis and aliquots extracted samples.
  • Operates, calibrates, and maintains laboratory instruments.
  • Determines appropriate analysis methods for a variety of samples.
  • Maintains logbooks and refrigerator temperature logs.
  • Performs safety inspections and conducts inventory checks.
  • Performs Level I review of data for accuracy.
  • Uploads data into LIMS system for review.
  • Maintains refrigeration temperatures and performs other housekeeping duties.
  • Trains new analysts on laboratory procedures.
  • Assists in other areas of the laboratory as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Professional working proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
  • Basic knowledge of laboratory testing equipment and methods.
  • Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and attention to detail.
  • Previous experience in a lab setting.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to learn new techniques and perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Accurate record-keeping and compliance with company policies.
  • Interpretation of written materials and effective communication of findings.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Organizational skills and the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Mathematical skills and ability to perform calculations and analyze data.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication both verbally and in writing.
