About the role

Eurofins Environment Testing (USA) is seeking a skilled laboratory technician to join our dynamic team. This position will be primarily scheduled Tuesday through Saturday, from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM.

Responsibilities

  • Completing all training in a timely and complete manner
  • Preparing samples and standards for analysis under the guidance of an experienced analyst/mentor
  • Running instrumentation independently and/or with guidance, including GC/FID, GC/TCD, purge and trap GC, and GC/ELCD for routine and non-routine instrumental analyses of TPH, DRO, alcohols, light gases, and other related compounds
  • Performing routine maintenance of laboratory equipment
  • Making dilutions using pipettes, syringes, and other common laboratory equipment
  • Properly documenting standard/sample preparation and instrument maintenance
  • Using departmental computer programs and LIMS for evaluating data, documenting sample and standard prep, and sample tracking
  • Working efficiently to ensure that clients receive quality data by reviewing laboratory data for accuracy, clarity, and adherence to SOP, regulatory, and client requirements
  • Applying GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Performing routine instrument maintenance and calibration of equipment
  • Conducting all activities in a safe and efficient manner
  • Working overtime as workload requires

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or related field, or equivalent relevant experience in the field
  • Professional working proficiency in English, including the ability to read, write, and speak in English
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
  • Ideal candidates will have a BS in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry coursework, strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills, excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail, previous experience in a lab setting, ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude

Additional Information

Pay rate: $18-19/hour + 10% shift differential

Please note - Eurofins Environment Testing (USA) provides a compensation range for informational purposes only. The actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience and skill set, base salary of internal peers, business sector, and geographic location.
