Chemical Tracking Coordinator

About the role

You will report to Supervisor, Onsite Services and work closely with the Avantor’s Lab and Production Services team of over 1,500 on- and off-site expert personnel – and our customers – to perform customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily reviews of chemical inventory and promptly resolve inventory, planning, and supply chain issues.
• Perform annual reviews and reconciliation of chemical inventories across all laboratories.
• Reconcile chemical materials for each lab to ensure accurate and up-to-date records in the inventory database.
• Conduct routine cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies as needed.
• Communicate with suppliers as required to obtain proof of delivery and resolve shipment inquiries.
• Review and address issues related to expiration dates, duplicate shipments, shipment overages, incorrect deliveries, and no-charge replacements.
• Collaborate with material purchasing teams to optimize inventory investment and usage.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience: 2+ years' experience in material handling/inventory replenishment or customer service.
• Preferred Qualifications: Solid understanding and experience in either shipping, inventory, or purchasing; excellent Customer Service Skills; displays a professional can-do attitude; must be able to lift 50lbs; travel may be required between buildings.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Information, intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office, with proficiency in Word and Excel.

Pay

Hourly Rate: $22.50/hr.
