Responsibilities
- Guide and maintain automatic and manual chemical process systems of varying complexity in accordance with operating procedures, including programmable, logic control devices.
- Follow specifications, job orders, work instructions, recipes and procedures to produce specific products according to our ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality system.
- Perform excellent liquid / chemical batch manufacturing, maintaining a familiarity with a variety of production machines.
- Monitor and care for process variables, such as temperature, pressure, and flow rates.
- Route product samples for quality control inspection according to procedure.
- Complete preventive maintenance on a regular, timely basis.
- Handle first-line resolving of process pathways such as equipment malfunctions, computer program issues, setting adjustments; involving appropriate other experts as needed.
- Support and uphold the Company’s safety and environmental standards:
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Champion proper disposal of waste materials.
- Contribute actively to safety improvement programs.
- Support and uphold all Company policies including safety, operating procedures, quality, attendance and proper on the job conduct.
Requirements
- High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of industrial manufacturing experience.
- Proven experience with C1D1 and C1D2 Explosion Proof environments, particularly within the context of hazardous material handling and solvent extraction.
- Good written skills, proficient computer skills, and ability to work with MS Office tools are required.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects.
- Continuous standing in one location for long periods (2-3 hours before break).
- Flexibility to work in shifts and handle occasional overtime as needed.
