Chemical Operator 1

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-focused individual to join our team in a hands-on manufacturing environment. This role is centered on operating, monitoring, and troubleshooting production equipment while supporting efficient manufacturing operations in a fast-paced industrial setting. External applicants must be eligible to work in the US and this role does not offer sponsorship for work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Set up and adjust automated and mechanical equipment
• Safely move raw materials throughout the production process
• Ensure equipment is operating at peak performance
• Set up mechanical equipment and handle web and chemical materials
• Operate automated equipment, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
• Perform in-process quality checks and monitor production performance
• Identify opportunities for process improvements
• Maintain compliance with all safety, quality, and operational procedures
• Maintain an organized work area
• Collaborate with the production team to maximize equipment uptime, product quality, and overall manufacturing efficiency

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 2+ years of manufacturing operator experience
• Knowledge of EH&S, ISO, cGMP, and other manufacturing regulatory requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong understanding and application of basic math skills
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Word
• Computer hardware/software experience
• Experience handling chemicals
• Adaptability and willingness to learn multiple operations and tasks
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work well independently and contribute positively to a cohesive team

Physical Attributes

• Lift up to 50 lbs
• Stand, bend, and twist for an 8-hour shift

Schedule

• B Shift: 2 PM – 10 PM
• C Shift: 9:30 PM – 6:30 AM

Pay

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $36.00 per hour. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors. The position may be eligible for sales or performance-based bonuses.
