About the role
Under the direction of the Production/Maintenance Supervisor, the Chemical Operator works independently and collaboratively to achieve Manufacturing Department goals. Responsibilities include preparing product containers, formulating and packaging products, documenting processes, and maintaining a safe, clean work environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare product containers (bottles, drums, totes, etc.) for filling referencing all appropriate specs and work orders.
- Formulate and batch products according to customer specifications.
- Fill containers with product following clean room procedures and product requirements.
- Document plant processes and record production data.
- Monitor the production process and ensure efficiency of systems and equipment.
- Train uncertified Chemical Operators according to procedures.
- Prepare product for shipment.
- Use correct tools and ergonomics when handling or moving raw materials, chemicals, components, equipment, or finished goods.
- Stock product and packaging supplies.
- Perform housekeeping duties to maintain a safe, clean work environment utilizing 5S standards.
- Perform necessary tasks and work hours to accomplish departmental and company goals.
- Uphold all MLI policies and the “MLI Code of Conduct.”
- Strict compliance with Environmental and Safety regulations.
- Compliance and individual accountability with the MLI Quality System and ISO Registration.
- Uphold the Manufacturing Attendance Policy.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support and sustain a high-performing team.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Electric Pallet Truck certification or ability to obtain certification.
- Working knowledge of computers and MS Office software.
- Working knowledge of arithmetic and grammar.
- Demonstrated ability to:
- Follow written and verbal instructions in English.
- Manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously to meet deadlines.
- Work as a team and/or independently.
- Perform tasks with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1-2 years of chemical manufacturing experience.

Pay
Summary pay range: $22/hr – $25/hr.
Schedule
Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM (schedule is tentative and may change based on business needs).
Working Conditions
- Duties are generally performed indoors in a high-purity manufacturing environment.
- Noise level is usually quiet to moderate.
- Must follow company safety rules and use proper personal protective equipment (e.g., hardhat, safety glasses, full leather shoes).
- Work in a covered Process Safety Management (PSM) environment containing threshold quantities of flammable liquids and/or gases with potential fire or explosion hazards.
- Employees in this environment must be free from devices that are not intrinsically safe (e.g., insulin pumps, pacemakers, pain management devices).
