Chemical Manufacturing Operations Supervisor

About the Role

Reporting to the Phosphates Plant Manager, the Phosphates Production Supervisor will play a key role in ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable plant operations while developing a high-performing team and delivering production results.

• Lead daily plant operations to achieve safety, quality, production, and reliability objectives.
• Develop, coach, and support Phosphates Technicians to build a skilled, engaged, and accountable workforce.
• Champion safety, environmental, and compliance initiatives through training, audits, investigations, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Drive operational excellence by monitoring plant performance, identifying root causes, and implementing process improvements that reduce downtime and loss.
• Coordinate maintenance priorities, capital projects, equipment commissioning, and cross-functional initiatives that strengthen plant performance.

Your leadership will directly influence the success, safety, and performance of a critical manufacturing operation. You’ll have the opportunity to mentor and develop a team while shaping the culture and future of the facility. This role provides broad exposure to operations, maintenance, quality, engineering, and leadership initiatives. You’ll make a visible impact every day through meaningful work that supports products used to improve water, air, and environmental quality.

Requirements

The right candidate is a hands-on manufacturing leader who combines strong operational expertise with a safety-first mindset, excellent communication skills, and a passion for developing people and improving processes.

• Technical degree related to chemical manufacturing or equivalent chemical manufacturing experience.
• 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a chemical manufacturing or similar industrial environment.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience leading safe work practices and driving EH&S compliance.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and the ability to work within plant systems and operational databases.
• Experience with process improvement, root cause analysis, or reliability initiatives.
• Knowledge of RCMS, ISO, quality systems, or regulated manufacturing environments.
• Experience supporting capital projects, equipment commissioning, or production trials.
