About the role
The Production Supervisor position is available at our manufacturing plant in Millersburg, Oregon. Schedule assignments will be determined based on business needs and may include rotating 12-hour shifts (4 days on/4 days off, alternating days and nights) or a day shift schedule.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective processes and equipment utilization strategies to achieve production goals and objectives.
- Lead a team of up to 20 direct reports, fostering a culture of safety and quality.
- Train, coach, and motivate the production workforce to ensure safe and efficient operation of production areas.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including engineering, quality, and safety to address issues and improve processes.
- Monitor processes and tasks to identify problems and improvement opportunities, and lead improvement events.
- Apply the Task Standardization Process to assigned areas and unplanned incidents to prevent recurrence.
- Write new and correct existing documents to reflect current work practices.
- Establish systems for production management to sustain production goals with minimal intervention.
- Maintain strict adherence to both internal and external customer requirements and production schedules.
Requirements
- 3 years of supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or a related field is preferred.
- Preferred supervisory experience in a union environment.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to act quickly and make impactful decisions.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software Suite, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Experience with LEAN manufacturing practices and continuous improvement concepts.

Skills
- Leadership skills to lead, motivate, and train personnel.
- Ability to interpret and enforce policies while maintaining the provisions of the labor agreement.
- Knowledge of the Chemical Operations Department, processes, products, and customers.
- Experience working in a union environment.

Pay
$64,000 to $104,800 annually base + shift differential.
