About the Role
Provides Chemical Dependency services to adults, adolescents, and significant others of CD patients under supervision.
Responsibilities
- Answers and triages patient calls for information, treatment services, and general chemical dependency advice.
- Responds to and appropriately handles crisis calls.
- Identifies need for higher-level assessment (e.g., non-CD mental health diagnoses, danger to self or others, non-CD crisis evaluations, emotional/family dysfunction).
- Performs intake and psychosocial assessments.
- Develops and presents treatment plans to the CDRP/S treatment team for recommendations, revisions, and approval.
- Participates in clinical case conferences.
- Conducts chemical dependency-focused educational lectures.
- Provides general chemical dependency counseling, including individual and group counseling services.
- May provide Adolescent, Significant Other, Family, and Multi-Family therapy only under licensed supervision as assigned.
- Provides case management services, including resource and referral coordination.
- May perform mentor functions to Alcohol or Drug Certificate candidates as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or other field related to behavioral health.
- One of the following California registrations:
- Associate Professional Clinical Counselor Registration
- Associate Marriage and Family Therapist
- Registered Associate Clinical Social Worker
Once hired as an Associate, an employee must work a schedule accumulating at least half of the required supervisory hours annually. Upon completion of supervised hours, the employee must obtain state licensure within two and one-half (2.5) years. If hired as a license-eligible employee (i.e., has completed all clinical hours), the employee has two and one-half (2.5) years from their date of hire to complete state licensure.
Schedule
Five-day work week. Must be able to work at least two evenings until 7:00 PM and may work a half-day on Saturday.

- Working Hours Start: 08:00 AM
- Working Hours End: 07:00 PM
Pay
Pay Range: $44.93 - $57.39 per hour.
Work Setting
- Primary Location: Culver Marina Medical Offices, Los Angeles, California
- Travel: Yes, 10% of the time
- Work Setting: Flexible (worker location must align with Kaiser Permanente's Authorized States policy)
