Chemical Dependency Counselor

Primary Responsibilities

• Provides professional chemical dependency assessment, counseling, and education for patients with an identified substance abuse and/or dependence.
• Cook up the development of the individualized treatment plan as related to substance abuse.
• Delivering psycho-educational curriculums
• Co-facilitating group therapy
• Preparing written documentation for internal and external audiences
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or related field AND One year of experience providing behavioral health services in a mental health and/or sex offense specific treatment setting
• OR Master’s degree in psychology, social work, or related field, which included training or experience in providing behavioral health services, including individual and group therapy

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience providing behavioral health services to clients with substance use disorders.
• Experience in substance abuse counseling

Pay

Competitive pay ($28.26 – $41.43 / hourly; $59,006 – $86,505 / annually)
