Chemical Compounder - 1st shift

About the role

The Production Pre-Scaler Technician is a key member of the Production team responsible for accurately scaling and mixing both dry and liquid ingredients, flavors, and partial quantities. This role involves performing tasks associated with maintaining accurate inventory control, staging of materials, and preparing for bulk manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Pre-scale all raw materials using FIFO.
• Process released orders in SAP for production processing by required date.
• Process CRTD orders in SAP for pre-staging.
• Return all unused materials to proper storage locations (ambient/refrigerated).
• Pre-scale raw materials using scales and different utensils.
• Maintain raw materials and flavors in production staging area 48 hours in advance of schedule.
• Manage time with excellence, prioritizing workload.
• Process samples orders for R&D.
• Send out daily recap reports.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area following the 5S principle.
• Operate production machines by adjusting controls and ensuring compliance with production plans and time parameters.
• Process raw and semi-finished products according to recipes and instructions.
• Take samples and conduct quality controls, forwarding results to Quality as needed.
• Fills finished products into appropriate packaging.
• Records all data as required (charts, process adjustments, etc.)
• Adheres to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) within appropriate zones.
• Performs general sanitation duties.
• Affords assistance in other areas of production as needed.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years’ experience in production, scaling, and/or flavor production.
• Comfortable using a mask or respirator for flavoring or chemical products.
• 1+ years’ experience with SAP.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Able to handle drums of up to 600 pounds and carry bags of up to 80 pounds.
