Job Summary
Tends equipment that chemically cleans oil, grease, dirt, and other foreign matter from parts/metal objects as well as chemically mills of part(s).
Skills & Qualifications
- Ability to use measuring instruments including but not limited to calipers, micrometers, and ultra sonic gauge.
- Ability to operate a forklift.
- Ability to operate an overhead crane.
- Must be able to comply with specific safety policies.
- Read and understand internal procedures and policies.
- Understand and follow through on both verbal and written instructions.
- Team oriented with a continuous improvement outlook.
- Basic Computer Skills - able to learn new screens, reports, functions and simple software programs with assistance.
- Math Skills – decimals, percentages, fractions, ratios, proportions; geometry and trigonometry is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and mylars.

Qualifications & Requirements
- High School Diploma; up to 3 years related experience in job function and/or training; equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work Environment And Safety Equipment Required
- Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms.
- Frequently required to stoop, kneel, or crouch.
- Must be able to communicate effectively.
- Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Working conditions are: 100% manufacturing environment.
- Regularly required to work near moving mechanical parts.
- Frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals.
- Occasionally exposed to extreme cold, extreme heat.
- Noisy environment.
- Face shield must be worn when operating process line.
- Safety glasses (ANSI Z87 compliant) required in all manufacturing areas.
- Hearing protection must be worn in designated areas.
- Safety Footwear shall be in accordance with the following: ASTM standard F2413-05 with minimum impact resistance, compression resistance and metatarsal designation ratings of 75 foot pounds (i.e. ASTM F2413-05 I/75 C/75 Mt/75), which are viewable on the inside tag of footwear.
