Chef Manager – Senior Living Community | Hands-On Kitchen Leadership
Responsibilities
Lead daily kitchen operations and meal service execution
Prepare and cook meals alongside the team in alignment with menu standards and dietary needs
Supervise and support kitchen staff, ensuring quality, consistency, and efficiency
Maintain high standards for food quality, presentation, and service
Manage inventory, ordering, and basic food cost control
Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and HACCP standards
Support scheduling and day-to-day team coordination
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment
Assist with special events, themed meals, and community functions
Requirements
3–5+ years of experience in kitchen operations, culinary leadership, or hospitality
Experience as a Sous Chef, Kitchen Manager, Chef Manager, or similar role preferred
Strong understanding of food preparation, kitchen workflow, and safety standards
Comfortable working hands-on in the kitchen daily while leading and supporting a team
Strong organization and time management skills
ServSafe certification or similar food safety certification preferred
Reliable, team-oriented, and service-focused mindset
