Responsibilities
- Oversee all food service operations for patient dining and retail cafe services at a 25-bed acute care facility with a 60-bed senior living facility.
- Maintain a quality culinary program and process all financial reporting.
- Develop menus, manage inventory, control purchasing, and monitor food costs.
- Maintain sanitation standards and ensure compliance with HACCP controls.
- Manage personnel, including hiring, coaching, counseling, training, and development.
- Perform safety, sanitation, and maintenance programs.
Qualifications
- Preferred degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent professional experience.
- Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) preferred, but willingness to obtain within the first year of employment.
- Five years of progressive culinary management experience.
- Self-starter, innovative, and ability to multitask.
- Knowledgeable on HACCP controls, proper food storage, and handling.
- Purchasing, food storage, and sanitation experience.
- P&L and financial reporting experience.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and training skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Point of Sale (POS) systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional business etiquette and client relations.
- Knowledge of safe and sanitary food handling principles.
- ServSafe or Department of Health certification a plus.
