Senior Chef Manager

Responsibilities

• Oversee all food service operations for patient dining and retail cafe services at a 25-bed acute care facility with a 60-bed senior living facility.
• Maintain a quality culinary program and process all financial reporting.
• Develop menus, manage inventory, control purchasing, and monitor food costs.
• Maintain sanitation standards and ensure compliance with HACCP controls.
• Manage personnel, including hiring, coaching, counseling, training, and development.
• Perform safety, sanitation, and maintenance programs.

Qualifications

• Preferred degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent professional experience.
• Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) preferred, but willingness to obtain within the first year of employment.
• Five years of progressive culinary management experience.
• Self-starter, innovative, and ability to multitask.
• Knowledgeable on HACCP controls, proper food storage, and handling.
• Purchasing, food storage, and sanitation experience.
• P&L and financial reporting experience.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and training skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Point of Sale (POS) systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Exceptional business etiquette and client relations.
• Knowledge of safe and sanitary food handling principles.
• ServSafe or Department of Health certification a plus.
