Accountabilities
The role is responsible for managing consulting engagements from planning through delivery, ensuring technical excellence, strong client relationships, and successful project outcomes. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing project execution plans aligned with client objectives, technical requirements, timelines, and budgets.
- Reviewing and approving project deliverables, including engineering reports, technical studies, and consulting analyses.
- Leading project teams by providing clear direction, technical guidance, and mentorship to engineers and consultants.
- Managing project scope, schedules, resources, and financial performance to ensure delivery within established expectations.
- Supporting business development activities by preparing proposals, defining project approaches, and contributing to client engagement strategies.
- Building team capabilities through coaching, knowledge sharing, and professional development support.
- Managing multiple consulting projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality and client satisfaction.
- Engaging with clients and stakeholders through meetings, presentations, and occasional travel to project locations or offices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or another relevant engineering, finance, or economics discipline.
- 15+ years of experience in the energy industry, including experience supporting power generation project development and execution.
- Experience serving as an owner’s engineer, independent engineer, and/or design engineer for energy generation projects.
- Proven experience managing engineering teams and coordinating multidisciplinary project activities.
- Techical knowledge across multiple generation technologies, including solar, battery energy storage, wind, and thermal systems.
- Experience conducting feasibility studies and evaluating energy infrastructure projects.
- Strong project management, communication, leadership, and client-facing skills.
- Ability to analyze complex technical and business challenges and develop practical solutions.
- Prior consulting experience is considered an advantage.
- Ability to work remotely and travel occasionally for client and project requirements.
