About the role

We are seeking a passionate and talented chef who strives in exceeding guests' expectations and wants to join a team that prioritizes diversity, inclusion, and a professional, fun working environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting in menu planning, implementation, and execution
  • Working in the main kitchen which services both our Promenade Café, Tea Lounge, and in-room dining
  • Maintaining the assigned station / section in a clean and orderly manner at all times
  • Training associates as necessary in the preparation and presentation of items
  • Suggesting alternative menu items, meeting specific customer requests, and interacting with customers to meet and exceed their culinary expectations

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years work experience
  • Recent experience in a la carte dining, preferably in hotels
  • Experience in luxury international brands, highly regarded
  • Qualification in Commercial Cookery
  • Demonstrated in-depth skills and knowledge of kitchen operations
  • Comprehensive knowledge of kitchen hygiene practices and occupational health and safety standards
  • A true desire to exceed guest expectations in a fast-paced customer service environment
