About the Role

Responsibilities
- Supervise and actively participate in all kitchen operations, ensuring the preparation, cooking, and presentation of food in accordance with established standards and recipes.
- Produce high-quality food products that consistently exceed guest expectations while maintaining operational efficiency, food safety, and cost controls.
- Assign, direct, train, and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient daily operations and proper preparation of menu items.
- Ensure proper receiving, storage, temperature control, and rotation of food products in compliance with food safety standards.
- Maintain food quality, consistency, portion control, and presentation standards.
- Monitor and control food and labor costs through effective scheduling, inventory management, requisitioning, and purchasing practices.
- Develop and maintain recipes, inventory records, and supply orders as needed.
- Ensure compliance with sanitation, safety, and health department regulations.
- Deliver exceptional guest service by maintaining high culinary standards and responding to guest needs.
- Coordinate equipment maintenance needs with the Executive Chef and Engineering Department.
- Cultivate a positive, productive work environment through leadership, coaching, training, and employee development.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 10 years of culinary management experience in a similar role, preferably in a high-volume restaurant, hotel, or resort environment.
- Food Handlers Certification required within 30 days of hire; must maintain a current/valid status.
- Culinary degree from an accredited institution preferred.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to follow instructions without close supervision.
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed.
- Pass a background screen, drug test, and prove eligibility to work in the United States.
