About the role
Firelands Health is seeking a dedicated individual to coordinate the daily operations and the progressive development of occupational health programs and occupational medical examinations. The ideal candidate will utilize Firelands' practice standards and evidence-based practices to develop, implement, and evaluate specific Occupational Health and Corporate Health program goals, objectives, policies, procedures, standards of care, and monitoring procedures.
Responsibilities
- Develops, implements, and evaluates specific Occupational Health and Corporate Health program goals, objectives, policies, procedures, standards of care and monitoring procedures utilizing current standards and evidence-based practices.
- Updates departmental policy and procedure manual on a bi-yearly basis in tandem with the Manager.
- Initiates, develops and conducts education programs for corporate clients.
- Affords assistance with continuing education programming for Firelands Health staff and orientation of new employees.
- Affords assistance with and performs various Occupational Health Medical Examinations and Health Risk Screenings.
- Maintains required certifications for such testing.
- Actively participates in Firelands Health committees as determined appropriate.
- Provides documentation to Corporate Health clients and maintains specific medical records ensuring HIPAA compliance in department.
- Maintains the preparation of clinic staffing schedules and ensures appropriate skill mix.
- Responsible for effective day-to-day management of department resources.
- Distributes annual performance appraisals of clinic staff.
- Participates with the CHC Manager in the marketing process of Corporate Health programs and services, providing proposals for service and other necessary requests.
- Participates in planning, conducting and coordinating regular business calls.
- Represents Firelands Health to the community.
- Acts as an ambassador and advocate for Firelands.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree or Bachelor’s degree in business or health related field preferred.
- RN licensed in the State of Ohio preferred.
- Three or more years of hospital/clinic experience required.
- Experience in occupational medicine along with demonstrated management experience preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and a thorough understanding of Health Care System/Industrial interface.
- Audiology Certificate, NIOSH Spirometry Certificate required.
- MRO Assistant, preferred.
Qualifications
- Punctual attendance at assigned work location is required.
- Must possess a valid State of Ohio motor vehicle operator's license and insurable under Firelands auto policy.
