About the role
You play a critical role in ensuring our customers’ imports move smoothly, compliantly, and on time. You will manage end-to-end customs brokerage operations for a dedicated portfolio of accounts, partnering closely with customers, carriers, government agencies, and internal teams.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted point of contact for customers, responding to questions and providing timely, accurate shipment updates
- Prepare and process U.S. Customs entries and Partner Government Agency (PGA) filings, ensuring full regulatory compliance
- Open and manage entry files in alignment with defined KPIs and service standards
- Cook shipment clearance with freight forwarders, steamship lines, airlines, and container freight stations (CFS) to ensure timely release
- Track and trace inbound shipments from port or airport through final delivery
- Ensure all required documentation and entry packages are accurately uploaded into operating systems
- Complete customer billing, delivery orders, and required operational reports
- Maintain and update customer Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as needed
- Collaborate closely with teammates and cross-functional partners to support coverage, cross-training, and peak-volume needs

- Timely and accurate processing of shipments within agreed KPIs
- High attention to detail and data accuracy
- Strong adherence to company policies and all CBP and PGA regulations
- Proactive communication and follow-through with customers and internal partners
- Reliable submission of delivery orders and required documentation
Who You’ll Work With
- Internal partners include: CHB Operations Managers and Leaders, Senior CHB Operations Associates, Regional CHB Leadership, Program and Implementation Managers, CHB Compliance and IT teams
- External partners include: Assigned customs brokerage customers, Government agencies (CBP, FDA, USDA, and others), CHB systems and technology vendors
Required / Preferred Qualifications
- 6–12 months of customs brokerage or related industry experience
- At least 2 years in a CHB or operational support environment preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working under pressure
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Team-focused mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent work experience)
- Customs House Broker License preferred but not required
Salary
$56,000 - $60,000*
