A Snapshot of Your Day
We are looking for a Production Technician with experience in transformers to carry out repair and refurbishment tasks in our factory. The Technician IV role includes developing and applying procedures, training other technicians, and creating documentation and checklists. Candidates should possess substantial experience in transformer production, knowledge of manufacturing processes, an understanding of quality requirements, and strong analytical skills. Flexibility is critical as in this environment, a typical day is different throughout the week.

Join us at the launch phase of our new manufacturing facility in Charlotte, NC, scheduled for completion in 2026. In the initial phase, you will play a key role in:
- Supporting factory layout and process implementation.
- Developing a high-performance production team.
- Cooordinating all aspects of factory setup to ensure readiness for production.
How you’ll make an impact
- Perform complex transformer service operations, including troubleshooting, repairs, brazing, crimping, and adherence to QA specifications.
- Apply technical expertise to diagnose issues, recommend procedural improvements, and ensure high-quality transformer performance.
- Communicate professionally—both verbally and in writing—regarding project scope, status updates, safety reviews, and incident reporting.
- Guide and train less-experienced technicians in safe equipment operation and specialized tasks such as reinsulating and lead preparation.
- Serve as the expert rigger for all transformer movement tasks and maintain tools and equipment through inspections, inventories, and scheduled repairs.
- Follow and enforce Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) policies while supporting various production, safety, and material-handling duties.
What you bring
- Min 10 years of experience with transformer manufacturing processes and Equipment, 15 years preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proven experience training others
- Ability to communicate effectively in English with both written and verbal proficiency.
- Travel: Occasional travel may be required for training purposes. Work Environment: This position may require occasional work outside of normal business hours to meet training schedules.
