About the role

This position provides nursing care to patients using the nursing process, directs and leads other assigned team members, and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to ensure age-appropriate care.

Responsibilities

  • Directs and leads other assigned team members
  • Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to provide age/developmentally appropriate care
  • Provides patient/family centered care addressing physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, religious, and environmental needs
  • Maintains a safe, therapeutic, and healing environment through ensuring patient privacy and professional behavior
  • Demonstrates ability to function in a professional setting through active participation in a professional practice model
  • Coordinates the effective and efficient delivery of patient care services through the application of care management principles
  • Identifies clinical priorities and initiates action to improve patient outcomes

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred
  • One year of work experience as a registered nurse required
  • Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time
  • Proficiency in manual dexterity and fine motor skills
  • Capacity to lift and move patients or medical equipment as needed
  • Visual acuity and color perception
  • Auditory ability to effectively communicate with patients and colleagues
  • Stamina and resilience to handle the physical and emotional demands of providing patient care
  • Mobility to navigate clinical environments
  • Compliance with infection control protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment

Additional Information

Minimum requirements include a Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred, one year of work experience as a registered nurse, licensure as a registered nurse, and current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.
