About the role
MGC is an industry-leading civil litigation firm celebrating 31 years of excellence across 22 offices in 12 states. We are seeking attorneys to join our Litigation team in Charleston, South Carolina. Remote or hybrid options will be considered after training and integration with the team.
Responsibilities
- Assess new files to establish action plans, budgets, and recommendations
- Identify pleading requirements and delegate tasks to paralegals as needed
- Prepare discovery responses and manage document production
- Attend depositions, hearings, and other discovery events, providing thorough reports
- Negotiate settlements, secure authority, and prepare for trial as necessary
- Maintain regular communication with paralegals and legal assistants
Requirements
- Licensed to practice law in South Carolina or have pending South Carolina bar exam results
- 4–5 years of practice experience
