About the Role

The Charge RN provides clinical leadership and patient-centered care within a healthcare unit, coordinating daily operations to ensure safe, high-quality, and efficient services.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a clinical resource and role model for nursing staff
• Supervise nursing staff and oversee patient flow and bed assignments
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Participate in patient assessments, care planning, and medication administration
• Evaluate patient responses to care
• Support performance improvement, regulatory compliance, infection prevention, and safety initiatives
• Mentor and coach staff, fostering a collaborative environment
• Advocate for patients and families
• Coordinate unit operations and manage complex patient care
• Promote safety and quality while participating in team meetings
• Drive a positive unit culture and contribute to innovative care models
• Maintain hands-on patient care
