Team

Lovelace Medical Center is an acute‑care hospital with 263 licensed beds, offering around‑the‑clock emergency care, surgical services, non‑invasive robotic spine surgery, stroke care, radiology, and oncology services.

Responsibilities

• Practice professional nursing, managing patient care and staff within the assigned charge area.
• Manage efficient patient flow, appropriate use of supplies, and other operational functions.
• Collaborate with unit managers and/or directors to develop and revise unit policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Serve as departmental liaison and first line of contact with patients, providers, and staff.
• Adhere to policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Required:
  • Associate’s Degree or Diploma in Nursing.
  • One (1) year of Charge Nurse experience in a hospital setting, or more than one year of clinical or management experience.
  • CPR/BLS certification obtained within 14 days of hire (or transfer) and prior to providing direct patient care.
  • Valid NM Nursing license or NM compact license (within 90 days of hire).
• Preferred:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
  • Certification in a clinical specialty.
  • National certification in specialty care.
