About the role
We are seeking an Orthopedics Charge Nurse (RN) to oversee daily operations in the orthopedic department.
Responsibilities
- Managing human resources, ensuring staff compliance with performance standards, facilitating staff development, scheduling, and promoting teamwork
- Ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, and quality standards, as well as participating in departmental planning, cost control, and process improvement initiatives
- Acting as a liaison between staff, patients, physicians, and management, while maintaining effective communication and fostering a positive environment
- Supporting organizational and clinical strategic goals, utilizing performance improvement data, and ensuring regulatory compliance
- Providing leadership in patient care, staff training, and department growth, while demonstrating excellent customer service and professional communication skills
Qualifications
- Current California RN license
- BSN degree
- Minimum of 3 years clinical experience
- Leadership capabilities
- BLS certification
- Strong interpersonal skills
