Charge Nurse (RN) - Operating Room

Role Overview Responsible for providing high-quality nursing care within a collaborative patient care team. Acts as a frontline representative, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care to promote positive outcomes. Ensures patient safety, advocates for patient needs, and maintains confidentiality and professional standards. Key Responsibilities Monitor, evaluate, and document patient conditions and care plans. Collaborate with team members to coordinate patient flow and care delivery. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure patient-centered care. Participate in performance improvement initiatives and support organizational goals. Mentor and foster growth of other nursing staff, promoting a positive work environment. Maintain professional licenses, certifications, and pursue ongoing education. Support shared governance and uphold safety, confidentiality, and ethical standards. Qualifications & Skills Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (preferred). Current RN license (single-state or multi-state compact). Certifications: BLS, ACLS, or ARC equivalents. Strong communication, teamwork, and critical-thinking skills. Commitment to professional growth and excellence in patient care.
