About the Role
The Clinical Manager oversees daily operations in the Emergency Department, ensuring efficient shift management and resource utilization. This role requires a results-driven leader committed to delivering exceptional patient care, operational excellence, and team development within a collaborative healthcare environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage human resources through hiring, evaluation, counseling, and staff development.
- Ensure compliance with policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Facilitate interdepartmental collaboration and effective communication.
- Support quality improvement initiatives, risk management, safety, and infection control programs.
- Develop and monitor departmental goals, budgets, and cost-saving strategies.
- Act as a Trauma Team member and participate in staff training and orientation.
- Maintain current knowledge of emergency/trauma care and integrate performance improvement into daily operations.
- Build positive relationships with staff, patients, physicians, and external agencies.
Qualifications
- Current California RN license and BSN.
- Minimum of 3 years' clinical experience with demonstrated leadership skills.
- Certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and successful completion of EKG testing.
- Preferred: management experience, CEN, ENPC, MICN, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS certifications.
