About the Role

The Clinical Manager oversees daily operations in the Emergency Department, ensuring efficient shift management and resource utilization. This role requires a results-driven leader committed to delivering exceptional patient care, operational excellence, and team development within a collaborative healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage human resources through hiring, evaluation, counseling, and staff development.
• Ensure compliance with policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Facilitate interdepartmental collaboration and effective communication.
• Support quality improvement initiatives, risk management, safety, and infection control programs.
• Develop and monitor departmental goals, budgets, and cost-saving strategies.
• Act as a Trauma Team member and participate in staff training and orientation.
• Maintain current knowledge of emergency/trauma care and integrate performance improvement into daily operations.
• Build positive relationships with staff, patients, physicians, and external agencies.

Qualifications

• Current California RN license and BSN.
• Minimum of 3 years' clinical experience with demonstrated leadership skills.
• Certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and successful completion of EKG testing.
• Preferred: management experience, CEN, ENPC, MICN, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS certifications.
