Charge Nurse RN

Job Summary

Verland is seeking a Charge Nurse to join their team in Sewickley PA. The Charge Nurse will lead a team of nurses and provide exceptional care to residents.

Shifts Available

• Full Time - 36 hours
• Week 1: 6 am - 6:30 pm - Wednesday / Thursday / Friday
• Week 2: 6 am - 6:30 pm - Thursday / Friday / Saturday

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive physical health assessments.
• Maintains emergency equipment and supplies.
• Assists with planning and coordinating activities related to the nursing function.
• Trains and educates staff members.
• Supervises nursing staff and reviews nursing activities.
• Attends interdisciplinary team meetings and manages health care.
• Reviews physicians' orders and medication administration records.
• Documents care administered and completes assessments.
• Manages replacement staff and calls in additional help if necessary.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current Pennsylvania Licensure.
• At least two years of experience as a practicing RN in a health agency, hospital, or related health care facility.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Charge Nurse or management experience preferred.
• Valid Driver's License and required clearances.
