About the role
As a charge nurse (RN), you are essential to quality resident care. You will work Tuesday through Friday.
Responsibilities
- Train staff and assist the director of nursing
- Support dignity, privacy, independence, choice, individuality, and a home-like environment for residents
- Assist residents with instrumental activities of daily living, ADLs, environmental orientation, assistance or administration with medication, treatments, and other care while encouraging self-care and independence, as permitted by state regulations
- Ensure care as indicated on resident treatment and service plans
- Know and follow infection control and safety procedures
- Review, update, and communicate resident care documentation
- Evaluate health emergencies to determine medical measures per nurse scope of practice and state regulations
Requirements
- Current registered nurse license in good standing
- Typically, candidates have 1 year of providing supervision in healthcare (new grads are encouraged to apply)
