Charge Nurse RN

Responsibilities

• Medication assistance/administration
• Nursing services
• Training/supervising staff
• All things related to resident well-being
• Train staff and assist the director of nursing
• Support dignity, privacy, independence, choice, individuality, and a home-like environment for residents
• Assist residents with instrumental activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Environmental orientation
• Assistance or administration with medication, treatments, and other care
• Encourage self-care and independence, as permitted by state regulations
• Ensure care as indicated on resident treatment and service plans
• Know and follow infection control and safety procedures
• Review, update, and communicate resident care documentation
• Evaluate health emergencies to determine medical measures per nurse scope of practice and state regulations

Requirements

• Current registered nurse license in good standing
• Typical candidates have 1-year of providing supervision in healthcare
• New grads are encouraged to apply
