Charge Nurse RN

About the role

A charge nurse (RN) is essential to quality resident care. Duties include medication assistance/administration, nursing services, training/supervising staff, and all things related to resident well-being.

Responsibilities

• Train staff and assist the director of nursing
• Support dignity, privacy, independence, choice, individuality, and a home-like environment for residents
• Assist residents with instrumental activities of daily living (ADLs), environmental orientation, assistance or administration with medication, treatments, and other care while encouraging self-care and independence, as permitted by state regulations
• Ensure care as indicated on resident treatment and service plans
• Know and follow infection control and safety procedures
• Review, update, and communicate resident care documentation
• Evaluate health emergencies to determine medical measures per nurse scope of practice and state regulations

Requirements

• A current registered nurse license in good standing
• Typical candidates have 1-year of providing supervision in healthcare. New grads are encouraged to apply!

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare supervision is preferred but not required

Skills

• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Knowledge of infection control and safety procedures
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Pay

Compensation is commensurate with experience.

Schedule

The position is available Tuesday through Friday.
