Charge Nurse (Registered Nurse) Medical Step-Down Unit (2RS) Full Time Nights

About the role

This position is located within the Medical Step-Down Unit at Manatee Memorial Hospital. The unit provides care for patients who have recently undergone surgery or are recovering from illness.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor patient vital signs and report changes to physician.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Document patient care activities accurately and timely.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
• Current Florida RN license required.
• One year of acute care nursing experience preferred.
• Experience with medical/surgical equipment and supplies.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.

Skills

• Proficient in electronic health record systems.
• Knowledge of infection control protocols.
• Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
