Charge Nurse - PCCU - Night Shift

About the Role

This position involves providing specialized, high-acuity cardiac care in a dedicated unit, managing patients with various cardiac conditions before and after procedures such as CABG, catheterizations, pacemaker insertions, and ablations.

Responsibilities

• Assess and reassess patients’ health needs, involving patients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Identify nursing diagnoses and set expected outcomes based on assessments.
• Deliver evidence-based nursing interventions to meet patient needs, coordinating care effectively.
• Evaluate patient outcomes using critical thinking and clinical knowledge.
• Serve as a department leader in the absence of the Nurse Manager.
• Maintain ACLS certification and oversee bedside handoffs during shift changes.

Requirements

• Diploma, Associate’s degree, or higher in Nursing; BSN or MSN preferred.
• Preferred one year of RN experience; equivalent education and experience acceptable.
• Current Oklahoma RN license.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required, with ongoing re-certification.
• New RNs with less than one year of experience must complete a nurse residency program.
