About the role
The LPN Charge Nurse at Apple Rehab Colchester plays a pivotal role in planning, executing, and overseeing nursing services for assigned residents. This includes adhering to quality care standards, facility policies, legal requirements, medical practices, and physician instructions.
Responsibilities
- Efficiently plans and provides professional care while aligning with the needs of residents and the changing medical landscape.
- Maintains professionalism in interactions with residents, physicians, families, peers, and support staff.
- Documents crucial information related to resident care accurately and comprehensively.
- Administers prescribed medications and oversees accurate record-keeping in line with facility policies.
Requirements
- Valid state LPN nursing license in good standing (or in the process of becoming a registered nurse).
- In-depth knowledge of nursing practices, medical procedures, and long-term care regulations.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Collaborative team player with previous experience in long-term care preferred.
Additional Expectations
- All LPN positions require weekend and on-call rotation to support both staff and residents.
- Per diem staff are expected to fulfill (2) weekend shifts monthly to meet requirements.
Pay
Differentials Offered: Shift Differentials for 2nd and 3rd shifts, Weekend Differential: $1.50 for hours worked on Saturday and Sunday, Additional Shifts Differential: Extra $5.00/hour for any shifts worked outside scheduled hours, 24 hours + Available Shifts: 3pm-11pm- 24 hours.
