Charge Nurse Endoscopy

About the role

As a Charge Nurse in Endoscopy, you will oversee a department of frontline nurses caring for patients. Your previous experience in acute care, long-term care, or nursing homes adds tremendous value to our nursing team. Every day you will advocate for your fellow nurses as you support them in reaching their full potential, aligning with your department’s operational goals and objectives. To thrive in this role, you need to be accountable and confident, with excellent communication skills in both one-on-one interactions and group settings. You must also be comfortable holding tough conversations, as you are responsible for the performance of your team and your unit.

Responsibilities

• Serve as both a leader and teammate to ensure your direct reports and department deliver the best care possible to patients
• Maintain a high level of engagement on the floor by visibly connecting with nurses, patients, and families
• Attend leadership meetings to learn about new initiatives, areas for improvement, and share that information with your team
• Monitor the productivity and efficiency of your department
• Mentor team members and share your knowledge and confidence with assistant nurse managers, charge nurses, and others

Requirements

• Registered Nurse license in Arizona
• American Heart Association certifications including Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing
• One year of recent acute care experience

Pay

$42.85 – $63.77 per hour
