Charge RN - Registered Nurse - Endoscopy

About the role

The Charge Registered Nurse will direct and coordinate caregivers to support all phases of care for the patient. This position may also rotate between Mercy's inpatient endoscopy department and the new outpatient digestive health institute.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care in accordance with standards of nursing practice.
• Direct and coordinate caregivers to support all phases of care for the patient.
• May rotate between the inpatient endoscopy department and the outpatient digestive health institute.

Qualifications

• Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Prior Endoscopy / GI experience is preferred.
• Must obtain and maintain a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure.
• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.

Physical Requirements

• Able to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Able to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
