About the role
Provides leadership and coordination of unit staffing to ensure quality patient care and clinical objectives.
Responsibilities
- Assigns, directs, educates, and monitors nursing/support staff
- Assesses patient care needs
- Develops and manages patient care assignments
- Collaborates with advanced practice providers
- Evaluates patient outcomes
- Addresses care-related complaints
- Contributes to hiring, training, and staff evaluation
- Maintains safety
- Performs additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program or equivalent
- At least one year of RN experience
Skills
- Strong leadership, communication, and assessment skills
- Physical ability to perform standing, walking, lifting, and other physical tasks
- Proficiency in vision, hearing, and communication tools
Licenses & Certifications
- Valid RN license in applicable state
- BLS Healthcare Provider certification from AHA
Physical and mental alertness required for safe practice.
Schedule
This role involves night shifts in an ICU setting.
