BJC HealthCare System is hiring a Full-Time Charge MRI Radiology Technologist (Mid-Day Shift) at Christian Hospital (St. Louis, MO).
Position Details
- Day Shift: Monday – Friday (7:30am – 4pm)
- Lead workflow of the dept, staff scheduling & training
- Update scanner protocols & quality checks
- Order & authorization verification
- MRI Safety screening
- Patient care
Requirements
- Associate degree or Trade School equivalency (or higher level of education)
- Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography - R.T.(R)
- 2 years’ experience

Preferred Qualifications
Role Purpose: Performs diagnostic imaging procedures in at least one advanced imaging modality (defined as MRI, CT, IVR, Mammography, Bone Density, Cardiac Catherization) on adults and/or pediatric patients for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment, and quality control.
Assists staff technologist in prioritizing and problem solving patient care or imaging issues, and serves as a resource person.
Delegates tasks to ensure proper daily operations.
Assumes responsibilities of supervisor in their absence.
Serves as the clinical resource and expert for the technologists. Their responsibilities include but are not limited to: problem solving, assisting with difficult exams, and mentoring.
Serves as the clinical liaison between the team and supervisor. Ensures that proper information is communicated from the team and escalated to the supervisor appropriately.
Maintains/orders necessary supplies for department needs.

- Associate or Trade School Equi
Experience
- 2-5 years Supervisor Experience
Licenses & Certifications
- IEMA - Illinois only, excl MRIRTR, CT, MR, M, BD, CI, VI, RCIS, RCES
