MRI Technologist

Responsibilities

• Under the general supervision and direction of the Manager, Radiology Clinical Services or designee, perform diversified clinical patient care, technical and related duties within assigned modality as part of an interdisciplinary care team.
• Absorb and document all data within the EHR during patient assessments.
• Educate patients for exams.
• Position patients and select appropriate imaging equipment and supplies.
• Identify, prepare and/or administer pharmaceuticals related to the exam/procedure.
• Select technical factors/parameters/sequences to produce quality images.
• Apply the principles of MR safety to minimize risk to patient, self and others.
• Assist physicians in performing procedures.

Requirements

• Successful completion of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology, Nuclear Medicine Technology, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, or Radiation Therapy and attainment of post-primary certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) or the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).
• The successful completion of an accredited program in Magnetic Resonance Imaging and attainment of primary certification from the ARRT, ARMRIT, or CAMRT.
• Registration with the ARRT, ARMRIT or CAMRT and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID-19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.

Qualifications

• Full rotation schedule requirement: every 3rd weekend, call, and holiday rotation.

Pay

Pay range: USD $40.80 - USD $61.21 /Hr.
