About the role
Valley Regional Medical Center is an amazing team that supports each other and seeks a dedicated MRI Technologist like you.
Responsibilities
- Review and complete appropriate paperwork on every patient as required including exam, scheduling, physician orders, department logs, imaging records, consents, medical records, and patient charges.
- Transport patients to and from their rooms and ER.
- Maintain equipment for mechanical safety.
- Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation.
- Position patients on examining table and adjust immobilization devices to obtain optimum views of specified areas of body requested by physician.
- Work as a team player and meet the needs of the Diagnostic Imaging Department.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited program for Technologist is required.
- Current licensure or permit in the State of Texas (TDH).
- CT registry is preferred.
- MRI registry is required within 6 months from date of hire for MRI registry-eligible candidates.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a hospital-imaging department is required.
- 1 year experience in CT or MRI is preferred.
- American Heart Association BLS certification is required.
Qualifications
