Charge Entry/Cash Posting Technician

About the role

The Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation is a Tribal health care organization serving nearly 30,000 people across rural, southwest Alaska. Bethel, the regional hub and location of the only hospital in the region, has a population of nearly 7,000. This position ensures thorough, accurate, and timely cash posting for services delivered at Yukon Kuskokwim Health Corporation patient care facilities.

Responsibilities

• Timely review and entry of third party payments
• Manage printers, photocopiers, fax machines, and multi-line phone systems
• Work independently with minimal supervision
• Maintain efficiency in meeting day-to-day expectations
• Handle overtime as needed to meet monthly deadlines

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• College level course in Medical Terminology desirable
• Six (6) months computer experience - MS Excel and Word
• Alphabetical and numerical filing experience
• Experience with printers, photocopiers, fax machines, and multi-line phone systems
• Typing speed of 45 w.p.m. and 10-key by touch
• Knowledge of Cerner Millennium, QSI
• Very good mathematical skills
• Good time-management and organizational skills

Pay

Minimum Hourly Pay: $21.78
