Charge Analyst-Full Time Days

This is a full-time position at 40 hours per week, following a hybrid model with the majority of work conducted from home and some required office time. Travel to hospital locations in the North, Northwest, and South suburbs is required. The main onsite location is Northwestern Medicine Palos Hospital.

About the role

The Charge Analyst reviews, analyzes, and coordinates charge master activities for the department.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes clinical and coding knowledge to ensure accurate and compliant charge items and to recognize and resolve billing inconsistencies.
• Analyzes content of system-generated reports and software edits to facilitate revisions with appropriate clinical departments.
• Serves as liaison to the appropriate Epic Team concerning medication charges and billing.
• Participates in departmental auditing processes as requested.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Qualifications

Preferred: 1 year of related experience.
