Character Designer

About the role

Join Skydance Animation as a Character Designer. We are seeking a talented individual to contribute to our visual development team. This is a full-time, hybrid position.

Responsibilities

• Create and refine character designs based on storyboards and concept art.
• Develop character personalities and behaviors through design choices.
• Collaborate with animators, directors, and other artists to ensure consistency across the project.
• Stay updated with industry trends and techniques in character design.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Illustration, Animation, or related field.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in character design or related field.
• Strong portfolio showcasing original character designs and concept art.
• Proficiency in character design software such as Maya, ZBrush, or similar tools.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with the team.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Passion for animation and storytelling.
• Experience with character design for animated films or series.
• Understanding of character anatomy and human physiology.

Skills

• Proficient in character design software.
• Strong understanding of color theory and composition.
• Ability to convey emotion and personality through design.

Pay

Salary range: $80,000 - $120,000 annually, depending on experience.
