Chaplain - Resident - CMC Spiritual Care - Full Time - 8 Hour - Days

Provides spiritual support to patients, families, and staff on assigned units throughout the John Muir Health system. The Chaplain Resident fulfills the ACPE-accredited program requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide spiritual care and support to patients, families, and staff
• Fulfill requirements of the ACPE-accredited Clinical Pastoral Education program

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Theological Studies (preferred)
• One unit of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) (preferred)
• 1 year of experience in healthcare spiritual care or chaplaincy (preferred)
• Experience in hospital ministry (preferred)
• Ordination in a recognized faith group or faith group endorsement (preferred)

• Sensitivity to diverse religious and cultural practices and values
• Maintains professional and personal integrity
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Basic pastoral skills
• Demonstrates empathy and compassion
• Reflects theologically

Pay

$23.00 hourly. Offer amounts are based on demonstrated/relevant experience and/or licensure. Pay will be adjusted to the local market if hired outside of the Bay Area.
